I Can. I Must. I Will!
DeeDee Trotter
An inspiring compilation of motivational quotes stemming from the struggles of a champion’s journey to greatness.
Each quote is a lesson learned, spiritual whisper, push of confidence, or encouragement to pursue your dreams. Often the only thing you need to keep moving forward is a short message to remind you that you can, you must, and you will reach your dreams, if you never give up and believe.
“Motivational quotes have the power, to empower!”
- DeeDee Trotter
“Readers will come away awakened, driven, moved, and compelled to break down the barriers of life. DeeDee is extremely genuine, passionate and someone I consider to be a true inspiration.”
—Max Siegel, CEO of USA Track & Field, Author of Know What Makes Them Tick
Olympian • International Motivational Speaker • Executive Pastry Chef
University of Tennessee Hall of Fame Inductee DeeDee Trotter is a NCAA Champion, USA Champion, World Champion, and three-time Olympian in the sport of track and field. Wielding sheer determination and perseverance, DeeDee overcame many difficult obstacles to become a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Olympic Bronze Medalist despite a devastating injury that almost ended her career. After thirteen years, DeeDee hung up her spikes and began sharing her motivational message, “I Can. I Must. I Will!” around the world. She truly believes the gift God gave her was not the physical running, but the ability to inspire people with the testimony the running created. Outside of sports and speaking, at the age of 39, DeeDee graduated valedictorian from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree in Baking & Pastry, accomplishing her childhood dream of becoming a professional pastry chef. She is the owner and Executive Chef of Taste of Gold Bakery in Atlanta, GA.
