Books II and III of the Gods of Olympus series (Interlude of the Dragons and Stories of the Intermountain Valley) presented the stories of the crew of the spaceship, Olympus, during their virtual incarnations into the sword-and-sorcery world of the Intermountain Valley. In this latest volume, they’re back in the Valley during the days of the Great Dying, 400 years prior to the events related in those previous books. The tale is told from the perspective of Andrew Toomey, Riverscene’s fire-realm magician.
