Lectio Divina, or divine reading, is an ancient approach to studying the Bible. Adapted from Jewish tradition by Saint Benedict in the sixth century, it is a special way of listening to God. This unhurried, reflective study of Scripture combines prayer and meditation, allowing the reader to understand and contemplate God’s message.
