Bone of My Bone

Written by the father of an infant son who was diagnosed with leukemia when he was only months old, this book calls to question and reckons with faith, life, and an exploration of where God is in childhood cancer. If God exists at all, God must be found on a pediatric oncology floor. Guided throughout by the question "Where is God in this?" each chapter focuses on locating the divine by weaving together personal experience with theological reflections on Christian doctrines. This book is not an answer to the question of why suffering happens. It is a wrestling with God's presence that is at once personal, pastoral, and theological, and may just be a companion to finding God in the midst of your own hurt.
