There are an estimated to be nearly 500,00 survivors of childhood cancer in the United States and this number is expected to increase as survival rates improve. The new fourth edition provides the latest information on medical late effects from treatment, emotional aspects of surviving cancer, guidance for follow-up care, a new chapter on genetics along with personal experiences from survivors and family members.
