Chinese Reader Dan Zhu Rebels

S
Study to How Chinese

A long time ago, before the Xia Dynasty, there was a good king named Yao who loved his people. Yao's son, Dan Zhu, was lazy, selfish, and enjoyed causing trouble. Although Yao encouraged him to study and become a worthy ruler, Dan Zhu refused. Realizing his son would make a bad king, Yao gave the throne to a wise and good man named Shun instead. Angry and jealous, Dan Zhu gathered bad people and rebelled against Yao and Shun. However, the people supported Yao and Shun because they were kind leaders. Dan Zhu was defeated and fled far away, while Shun later became a beloved king. This book is for all Chinese beginners. I tried to include most of the vocabularies used in the story, along with their English meanings. Wherever possible, I tried to make use of simple grammar structures and avoid the more complicated grammar structures. If you are a beginner in the Chinese language, this is the book for you.
