Chinese Reader The Story of Abram

The story follows Abram, a man chosen by God to leave his home in Ur and travel to a new land called Canaan. Abram obeyed God and traveled with his wife Sarai and his nephew Lot. In Canaan, God promised to give the land to Abram’s future children, so Abram built altars to worship Him. Later, a famine forced them to go to Egypt. Afraid that the Egyptians would kill him because Sarai was beautiful, Abram told her to say she was his sister. Pharaoh took Sarai into his house, but God punished Pharaoh’s family. Pharaoh then sent Abram and his family away safely with all their belongings. This book is for all Chinese beginners. I tried to include most of the vocabularies used in the story, along with their English meanings. Wherever possible, I tried to make use of simple grammar structures and avoid the more complicated grammar structures. If you are a beginner in the Chinese language, this is the book for you.
