Creepin' Tintypes

Restored Classics to Go Edition

W. C. Tuttle

W. C. Tuttle's Creepin' Tintypes plunges straight into the comic chaos of Piperock, where frontier bravado, bad judgment, and stubborn luck turn every scheme into a farce. Ike Harper and Dirty Shirt Jones, already infamous for past mischief in town, are recruited by a movie man named Llewellyn Waldemar, who wants "real" Western action for his camera and decides the two rogues are exactly the right kind of authentic troublemakers. Disguised as scientists searching for dinosaur remains, Ike and Dirty return to Piperock just as the town celebrates its tenth anniversary with rodeos, drinking, speeches, and general mayhem. Waldemar's plan is to film a staged bank robbery, but the stunt quickly spins out of control in a blur of broncos, bullets, broken windows, and mistaken identities. The "robbers" wind up in jail, the sheriff imprisons himself by accident, and the bank turns out to be empty. As the dust settles, it becomes clear the real theft may have been done by someone else entirely. Wounded, sarcastic, and still unbowed, Ike and Dirty escape Piperock once again, leaving behind a trail of comic disorder. This edition has been fully restored with modern typesetting, custom cover design.
