Cross-Examination confronts the cost of aspiration and the price of complicity. When a "self-made" preacher and his wife pursue the American dream by stealing their daughter's identity in their scramble for opportunity from the religious sector, life becomes a nightmare for one native Miami-Dade girl. After running away from ongoing abuses, she digs deeper and discovers a web of fraud and corruption tied to the local church her father pastors.
