Defending My Enemy

Author Profile: Neier is one of the country’s leading free speech advocates. He is well known in legal, human rights, and philanthropic circles, has argued before the Supreme Court multiple times, and has deep media experience, including having authored over 300 op-eds for major publications.

Outreach: The book will be promoted by Human Rights Watch, Open Society Foundations, the ACLU, and FIRE (a leading First Amendment group).

Timing: Publishing in time for Constitution Day (September 17), allowing for publicity, social media, digital advertising opportunities.

Launch event: The University of Chicago’s First Amendment clinic will host a launch event. We expect additional events at the Brennan Center, the Knight First Amendment Center, NYU, etc.
