I Am Not a Farmer's Wife

She had lived in rural America most of her life. When her husband decided he wanted to be a farmer and thereby make her into a farmer's wife, he didn't think it would be that hard of an adjustment. He may have been thinking "petticoat junction" or perhaps he remembered his childhood and the song "the farmer in the dell" who knows what he was thinking? Because in reality it ended up being closer to a bad rerun of "Green Acres". What was he thinking bringing a fifty-some year-old woman with no farming experience, out here?
