IN HIS TIME

I thought if I could arrange

Some of my poetry into a book

To some it may seem strange

But others may stop and look

All the poetry that I create

The personal feelings I've chosen to share

Through the years I decided to wait

Now I'm cautiously proceeding with care.

I was young and running from love

Knowing it would catch up sooner or later

The words came from above

I just put them on the paper

The up-front money that is required

Was too big a chance for me to take

My options all seemed expired

But my dream was never fake

You could say this is my attempt

At the dream I've had all along

Sometimes when your thoughts are exempt

The world doesn't seem SO wrong

Thank you for taking the time

For reading my words of rhyme

And keeping an open mind

For the dream I seek to find
