Jean

When Travis first meets Jean in 1925, he is immediately taken by him. Jean seems everything Travis isn't: firm, charismatic, and sure of himself, as Travis has never been able to be. He exerts a strong pull on the younger man, and a friendship seems inevitable.   This friendship will carry them through the following decade as the two men navigate the changing tides of political and social circumstances in southern Germany between the World Wars and realise the full potential of their connection… and what it will cost them.
