Little Agnes from Copenhagen

This is a book about Agnes from Copenhagen in Denmark. During the twisty winter in the evening, she was sitting in front of the buildings and selling matches to passers. Agnes tried to earn some money so she could buy some food for her ill mother and herself. Things were bad until little Agnes was approved by a farmer Rolf. This was a turning point for her and her mother. Gradually things started to be better. This is a very uplifting story—good for kids of all ages.
