Death was once what I feared most. Now, it is a world without him.

I thought I knew what pain was . . . until Death gave up eternity for me.

I was played for a fool by Hades and the Fates, when it was Death they always wanted. I am nothing more than mortal pawn in a game of gods and monsters. Now, they have taken everyone from me.

They expect me to be broken, to be compliant. To be woven into their plans. But I refuse to let Death's sacrifice be in vain. I refuse to give up without a fight. I refuse to believe that love cannot win.

I will find a way to change my fate, or breathe my last breath trying.
