Lovers in the Shadows

This is the story of two lovers forbidden from seeing each other because of rank differences that they both grew up in.

Love is for fools--at least that's what I thought until I fell in love myself, so I guess I'm a fool too. I don't know why I am drawn close to him. I don't know why I care so much about him. I don't know why I helped him when I could've just said no, and I don't know why I care when he's in trouble. I guess that's how love is--I guess I'm a total fool for falling in love with him. I don't know how any of it started, but he makes me happy beyond all doubt.
