Leah, a widow betrayed by her unfaithful husband, isn’t eager to remarry—but her four children need a father. Hoping for a fresh start, she pursues a mail-order marriage out West. Along the journey, she falls ill and, with her children, is rescued by Buster, a grieving cowboy recovering from the loss of his twin sister. Though Buster isn’t a hero by choice, he can’t ignore Leah and the children, whose presence begins to heal his heart.
