Antonio Colletti returns to his cousin Tom Romani's house with a crimson mask, a polished smile, and a murderous plan. Still consumed by jealousy over Nita Tosca's choice of Tom, he hides his hatred while hoping to destroy the couple and seize the family fortune. But the strange mask—warm, beautiful, and unnervingly alive in their hands—seems to awaken something darker than envy. As Tom and Nita prepare for a masquerade, the mask's influence appears to seep into Tom's mind, twisting affection into possessiveness and rage.
