Joelle Peters- The premiere production of Niizh was nominated for four Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
- Joelle wanted to write this play because we don’t see Indigenous love often enough and deserve a rom-com! She also wanted to write about the highs and lows of a rural upbringing and to celebrate the complexities of Indigenous families.
