Debut book in English from renowned Iraqi writer of flash fiction/short stories, to be published 20 years after the disastrous American invasion of Iraq, these stories are set in the post-Bush landscape of a divided, charred, and yet still alive Iraq. Translator lives in New York, is very prominent in the field (and works for NYU Press too) and will do lots of publicity for this as well.
