Resilience

The ability to face, overcome, and heal the wounds of the soul

A
Alexandra Kirkpatrick

Resilience is a concept borrowed from physics: it refers to the property of certain metals that, even when altered by external factors, do not become deformed. Applied to neuroscience, resilience is not a process aimed at increasing talent or achieving professional success, but rather something akin to a "rebirth." It is the ability to confront the deepest emotional crises and emerge from them stronger.
