The Barren Fig Tree

In this book, John Bunyan lays out his sharp criticism of the theology and religious institutions of his time. Using the parable of the fig tree in the Gospel to veil (just barely) his allusions, Bunyan roasts the lack of integrity and genuine belief amongst Church officials.
