The Decline of Empire

This is the story of a young man from a hardworking family given every benefit and expected in return to serve the country and his family by being an economic success. He questioned the premises on which these expectations were grounded, and he was a seeker of the transcendent. His experience of the impact of war and of the mind-altering experience of psychedelics render sometimes surreal but accurate echoes of the times and in a hauntingly romantic drama.
