Julie Adams, a small-town girl with a big-time dream, hopes that one day her beloved party planning business will be her sole occupation. Her best friend, Erica Reynolds, thinks what Julie really needs is a Prince Charming to rescue her from her 24-7 workaholic life as an accountant, so Erica creates a Happily Ever After List of contenders, including Erica's boss, Connor Buchanan.

Handsome, charming, and driven to succeed, Connor spearheaded a string of acquisitions for his grandfather's company and believes his next takeover will lead to his becoming CEO.
