The Interior Castle, or the Mansions

Saint Teresa of Avila, a famous Christian mystic, wrote the Interior Castle or the Mansions, which includes seven mansions, each mansion for a level, and each level brings the believer closer to God. This 16th century work acts as a guidebook for prayer and religious meditation, to help the soul pass through each of the seven stages into the Glory that is God.
