The Kingdom of God is Like a Sports Club (Team Jesus)

"The spiritual world is real and divided into two opposing kingdoms locked in constant war: the kingdom of God (light, truth, life) and the kingdom of Satan (darkness, deception, death)."

The kingdom of God is not merely a future heaven-it is a present, active reality that Jesus came to establish on earth, "Team Jesus." 

In Team Jesus: 

Christians are the players/athletes, 

Satan and his messengers are the opponent, 

non-Christians are the spectators we seek to win over through our victorious lifestyles. 

Becoming a Christian means receiving both the privileges (access to God's promises, power, and blessings) and the responsibilities of citizenship in the kingdom of God. Each believer is either an asset or a liability to the kingdom depending on if they live as Spirit-led disciples or as "baby Christians" indefinitely. 

The ultimate mission of Team Jesus is that all may be saved-and we fulfill that mission by stepping fully into our identity as heirs and ambassadors of God's kingdom.
