The Old Lady Flies

Russ Healy is a sentimental stunt flyer whose fierce loyalty to his battered old Jenny, the "Old Lady," borders on devotion. Though the plane is outdated, slow, and barely holding together, he refuses to give her up when Bob Brooks, the boss of the flying circus, is forced by money troubles to cut a ship. The demand sparks a hard clash of pride, loyalty, and stubborn attachment between man and machine. Determined to prove the Old Lady's worth, Russ takes off angry and heads straight for a dangerous movie stunt job the others fear will get him killed. Realizing he may be flying into real danger just to defend his honor, the circus pilots band together, race to the film set in five ships, and try to stop him before the crash scenes—and the tensions around them—turn deadly.
