The Significance of Christian Baptism

When Jesus came to John the Baptist to be baptized by him, John responded, “I need to be baptized by you! Why are you coming to me?” The reply that Jesus, “the Son of the Living God” gave, clearly establishes baptism as the second most important action a person can take in accordance with their decision to become a Christian. The first is to believe in Him.
