What Survived Was Me

From the little girl who saw no escape to becoming the survivor of my own life, I rejected God, rejected people, and rejected myself--only to relearn that God did not cause my trauma but that He would be my healer. The journey to survival was, and still is, long and lonely but beautiful when we reach the fruit of the healer.
