Zane Grey's Ohio River Trilogy: Betty Zane, The Spirit of the Border, The Last Trail

Zane Grey was a dentist. Luckily, he picked up writing as a part-time hobby and wrote some of the classics of the genre in the early Twentieth Century. The Ohio River trilogy tells three tales set in Ohio, where Zane was born. Betty Zane is a romance set in the Revolutionary War. The Spirit of the Border focuses on tensions between Native Americans and white settlers, while the Last Trail is the sequel to Spirit of the Border.
